The tughra reads: Ash-Shaykh Abd Allah al-Faiz ad-Daghestani. He is the 39th Grandshaykh of the Naqshbandi-Nazimi Golden Chain of Sufi saints and was born in the year 1309 AH/1891 CE in Dagestan. He was a monumental figure of the late Ottoman and post-World Wars era who attracted the highest caliber scholars, intellectuals, and mystics to the Highest Naqshbandi Order. His master, Shaykh Sharafuddin ad-Daghestani, was the spiritual adviser to Sultan Abdul Hamid and Shaykhul Islam of the Ottoman realm.
